Since we started  in 2016, we have been telling real stories about business and brands – about people, and the choices they make over time.

Smidig produces films, series, and podcasts for brands that want to communicate through authentic storytelling rather than just advertising. Our work spans documentaries, factual entertainment, drama, and long-form brand films, created to work both on a company’s own channels and, when relevant, for broader distribution through broadcasters and streaming platforms.

We often work with family-owned businesses, long-standing companies, and organizations going through change: generational shifts, anniversaries, new strategies, mergers or other moments where the past and the future meet. These are stories that benefit from depth, honesty, and perspective.

Our process starts with listening. We spend time understanding the people behind the company, their history, their current reality, and what lies ahead. We use interviews, research, and archival material to build stories that feel personal and credible, not scripted or polished for effect.

Depending on the project, we work directly with brand teams, owner families, management, historians, creatives, and broadcasters. Some projects are made solely for internal and stakeholder audiences. Others are developed together with TV channels or streaming platforms to reach a wider public.

What all our work has in common is a respect for the audience and the people in the story. We aim to create content that feels meaningful to watch, not just useful to publish.
