A Century of Continuity and Renewal
MetroAuto, a fourth-generation family business, turned 100 years and wanted to mark the milestone with more than a celebration. The company was undergoing a generational shift and refining its long-term strategic direction. They needed a story that brought these threads together — a narrative that expressed continuity, ownership, and a clear view of the future.
Our Approach
Smidig proposed a film told directly through the voices of the family owners. Rather than following a traditional chronological history, the story was structured as interwoven chapters that move between moments in time. This approach allowed the family to reflect on their past, share personal insights, successes as well as family tragedies, and articulate their vision for the decades ahead.
The Outcome
The process helped the family, and especially the 4th generation, become more visible as owners — something that had perhaps not yet been clearly established. Seeing the final film, they expressed how meaningful it was to show employees, partners, and stakeholders how deeply they care about the company and how they are actively taking part in shaping its future for the next generations.
The film now serves as a narrative foundation for Metroauto’s next chapter: a renewed, clearly articulated commitment to long-term family ownership and strategic continuity.
